China Agricultural University CSC scholarship is a top Chinese scholarship and is open to undergraduate and postgraduate students. China Agricultural University is a public university of public research in Beijing China. In 1995 the university is founded through the merger of Beijing Agricultural University and Beijing Agricultural Engineering University. CAU offers 66 undergraduate majors and more than 32 masters and 21 PhD programs. There are approximately 12,000 undergraduate-graduate students and 808 students international. The gym housed the wrestling events during the 2008 Summer Olympics. This project is included in Project 985 to create world level universities in China and Project 212 to improve the academic standards of universities. It was designated as a Chinese Department of Education Class A Double First Class University.
CAU has four campuses in Beijing, one campus at Luan City, Hebei Province, and 13 affiliated hospitals for postgraduate education. Now CAU has more than 20 schools with over 120 undergraduate majors including agricultural sciences, life sciences and technology, forestry and environmental science and engineering technology, among which agriculture is the biggest department with a full range of courses including over 40 disciplines such as crop production and protection, animal husbandry and veterinary medicine.
There are around 4500 teachers and administrative staffs; nearly 33000 full-time students (undergraduates plus graduates) pursuing their degrees here; there are also up to 20000 students coming from foreign countries like Korea Republic of (), Japan, United State of America, Saudi Arabia, etc. to study Chinese language and courses in agriculture every year.
The library holds over 1,600,000 books and 2000 periodicals. The total value of research achievements was RMB 2.1 billion yuan (US$294 million) in the past five-year plan; CAU has won more than 10,000 prizes at state level or above for its scientific research. It is entitled to carrying out postdoctoral work by the Ministry of Education; there are two national key disciplines (NKBs), 30 “Chang Jiang Scholars Program” professor posts supported by Ministry of Education, 5 scholars programs funded by State Commission of Science and Technology.
