The central south university (CSU) is located in Changsha, central south China. The central south university was founded in 1998 from the merger of four different universities that were formerly known as “the central south industrial teacher’s college” and “the central south textile institute.”
The central south university also a member of a group of higher education institutions collectively called the “University Alliance of Central South” which refers to three universities: central south university, central south medical school and the central southern electrical engineering school .
In 2006, csu received its first batch of doctoral students participating in the national talent training program for basic-level disciplines.
In 2005, an agreement was signed between CSU and Sichuan University, further promoting cooperation between central south university and other universities in the central south China area.
