Tongji University (tongji; simplified Chinese: t’ui; traditional Chinese: t’iue; pinyin: t’ong} is a comprehensive educational institution located in Shanghai, specializing in teaching of Chinese language and culture. Established in 2001, the main goal of this university is to prepare students for a professional career in teaching in China.
